Elinex provides UPS systems for Velsertunnel.

In 2016, Rijkswaterstaat awarded the renovation works for the Velsertunnel to the construction consortium Hyacint. Hyacint is a collaboration between the contractors Dura Vermeer, BESIX, and installation company SPIE Nederland. The consortium is also responsible for the maintenance of the tunnel for seven years. During the renovation, various improvements will be made, including increasing the tunnel's clearance height and enhancing safety throughout the tunnel.

Elinex Power Solutions had the opportunity to install several Huawei UPS configurations for the Hyacint Consortium within the renovation project for the Velsertunnel in 2016. On-site, Elinex completed the installation and commissioning of a 200kW Huawei 5000-E and various Huawei 5000-A UPS systems. This project marked Rijkswaterstaat's first renovation following the LTS (National Tunnel Standard), to which Elinex also adhered.
