“ELINEX developed and delivered a perfect solution for Hall 22, offering excellent value for money,” says Arno Butter of client dEP de Sfeerontwerpers. “The communication, support and technical assistance provided by ELINEX was excellent and resulted in a great project, involving the installation of a Sunwoda BESS system in combination with an energy management system (EMS).”
With a capacity of 50 kW / 60 kWh, this system offers a powerful and future-proof solution for smart energy management. Adding a BESS to the existing grid connection was necessary to ensure sufficient power was available at any time of the day, as the contracted capacity was regularly exceeded.
It seems so normal: taking some time for yourself, enjoying some exercise. Yet the power supply that makes this possible is not a given these days. The lighting, electronic equipment, use of bowling alleys, the gym and paddle courts, the restaurant and kitchen, everything requires the necessary electricity. Anyone building new commercial premises today is faced with limited power supply and/or years of waiting when applying for a (larger) grid connection. This was also the case at Hall 22. There, it was necessary to work with a 3x 250A connection, but with a contracted capacity of maximum 100kW, which was regularly exceeded. A BESS was therefore necessary to absorb the energy peaks at Hall 22.
The collaboration between dEP and ELINEX
At the request of dEP, ELINEX took care of the design, complete delivery of the BESS & EMS system, including all necessary components and physical installation on site.
dEP de Sfeerontwerpers took care of the complete connection to the electrical installation of Hall 22. Thanks to the intensive collaboration between both parties, the project was completed quickly and efficiently, to the full satisfaction of Hall 22. After placement and installation, extensive tests were carried out to guarantee the safety, operation and reliability of the BESS.

About Hal 22
Hal 22 is part of the Utrecht Catering Group, which was founded in 2021. The founders came up with the plan to search for special locations in and around Utrecht in order to offer fellow Utrecht residents attractive catering and sports facilities. The foundation for the Utrecht Catering Group had been laid. From day one, it was crystal clear to the five friends Edwin Oosterlaar, Perry Overeem, Marco van Basten, Frank Rijkaard and Barry Atsma: "We want to offer our guests a relaxing outing with plenty of hospitality and fun at unique locations. Locations that we ourselves would also like to visit." Equally important is their greatest motivation to do things just a little differently and better.
In addition to HAL22, Utrechtse Horeca Groep manages various hospitality venues in Utrecht.
