The Netherlands is facing a major challenge: the electricity grid is becoming increasingly overloaded. The energy transition means that we are switching on to electric cooking, heating and driving. As a result, Enexis may be forced to cut off the electricity supply in parts of the country this winter. This has been confirmed by the grid operator in an interview with NU.nl.
Increasing pressure on the grid 📈
In the summer, grid operators struggle to process all the solar power. In the winter, on the other hand, there is a shortage of transport capacity, especially during the evening rush hour when everyone comes home and uses electricity. In regions such as Tilburg, Den Bosch and Walcheren, grid operators are warning of possible overloading of distribution stations. In extreme cases, this can lead to temporary power outages to prevent damage to the grid.
ELINEX helps with a resilient energy supply 🔋
At a time when power outages are no longer unthinkable, ELINEX offers companies the security they need. With smart solutions for Energy Storage and Emergency Power Supplies, we ensure that your organisation continues to run even when the grid fails.
⚡Emergency power solutions (UPS & NSA): Our systems switch on automatically in the event of a power failure, so that your critical processes continue uninterrupted. This prevents damage, data loss and downtime.
⚡Energy Storage Systems (BESS & EMS): By storing energy at times of low grid load, you can use it during peak hours or in the event of grid problems. This not only helps to save costs, but also contributes to a more stable energy grid.
With ELINEX, you are assured of continuity, reliability and control over your energy supply, regardless of the situation on the public grid. 🔌
