ELINEX, together with Nikhef housing (connectivity data centre), was present at the Centiel factory in Switzerland for the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of an impressive customised UPS installation. During this test, the system is checked to ensure that it meets all technical and functional requirements before being transported to the customer's location.
A technical configuration has been designed for Nikhef, consisting of two feeds, each with two Centiel StratusPower™ frames installed in parallel. With a capacity of 750 kW per frame and a combined capacity of 1500 kW. Each system is equipped with nine 62.5 kW power modules, resulting in 500 kW per frame in an N+1 configuration. To ensure maximum redundancy, two frames feed the A feed and two frames feed the B feed.
The UPS's are supplied in the RAL colours chosen by Nikhef. The blue UPS system has a cable entry at the bottom, while the red UPS system has a cable entry at the top. This creates a technically and visually well-thought-out solution for the data centre.
